It is still hard for me to comprehend...another year older in just a few days. I have taken off a few days of my day job to get some important things done around the house. I will be 56...56 candles...56 years of memories...some sad but most have been incredibly amazing! Funny how I don't feel 56 but again I am not sure what 56 should feel like since I have never experienced it before. :) My dad passed away when he was 54. I have been missing him a bunch lately and hope that the choices I have made in the last five years would have made him proud.
Starting over is never easy but I have managed to do it. I know my faith in Jesus, my family (including my furbabies) and my friends have made all the difference. I never could have done it by myself.
I am grateful!! Grateful for my life, grateful for my small business and grateful to all my customers! I keep getting up and showing up and making the soap...and people continue enjoying the soap that I make. I feel happy and accomplished to make something that is useful and nourishing and smells wonderful too!
I made 64 bars of soap this past Saturday. They are curing nicely. Two new scents. The dark round soap is called Bourbon Drenched Butterscotch. It has a light delicious scent and the outside has darkened naturally. I cut a bar for samples and was delightfully surprised to find it was still light in the middle. It looks like a reeses bar...lol... The black square soap is called Violet Moondance. I added activated charcoal to create the black color. Activated charcoal naturally rids toxins. To the soap I added eco glitter for sparkle and topped the soap with shimmery purple mica. It smells like violets and looks out of this world! I also made more Energy and Lavender/Oatmeal.
I am thankful for my 56 years and I am thankful for you! Have a Blessed day!
